Katherine Harmon Courage is an award-winning freelance journalist and editor who has recently traded in the wilds of Brooklyn for those of Colorado.
From there she works as a contributing editor for Scientific American and also writes for The New York Times, Wired, Gourmet, Popular Science, Prevention, as well as numerous websites, including NationalGeographic.com, Time.com, Oprah.com, and Nature.com. Her work ranges from breaking science news to features about food. And she has dabbled in podcasts, blogging and video along the way.
Her first book, OCTOPUS! The Most Mysterious Creature In the Sea is out now from Current, a division of Penguin Random House.
She lives in Longmont, Colorado with her husband and their dog. In her spare time, she runs marathons and competes in triathlons–and is currently plotting to turn her yard into a fruit and vegetable garden.
