Katherine Harmon Courage is an award-winning freelance journalist and editor who traded in the wilds of New York City for those of Colorado.
From there she works as a contributing editor for Scientific American and also writes for The New York Times, Wired, Gourmet, Popular Science, Prevention, ESPN The Magazine, as well as numerous websites, including NationalGeographic.com, Time.com, Oprah.com, NPR.org, FastCompany.com, and Nature.com. Her work ranges from breaking science news to features about food. And she has dabbled in podcasts, blogging, and video along the way.
She is working on her second book, an adventure in eating for our microbes, which will be published by Penguin Random House’s Pam Krauss Books in 2016. More tasty details to come!
She lives in Longmont, Colorado, with her husband and their dog and four sweet chickens. In her spare time, she runs marathons and competes in triathlons–and is turning her yard into a fruit and vegetable garden.
