What Better Way to Celebrate Octopus Day than By Putting Octopuses on the Heads of Vice Presidents (and Unsuspecting Authors)?

Drawing by Jonathan Crow

When you get a Twitter shout out from someone who draws vice presidents with octopuses on their heads, you listen.

Jonathan Crow, an LA-based artist (and, apparently, genius) decided one day to start drawing the vice presidents (all of the vice presidents) with octopuses on their heads. And so was born the Veeptopus.

Along the way, he learned a lot about the weird office of the veep. But he grew curious to learn more about their headpieces, the octopus. So I was happy–and honored–to fill him in. My interview with him is up on his website now. And while you’re there, browse the veeptopuses. I am fairly certain you won’t be able to resist buying at least one.

Stay tuned for an interview with Mr. Crow himself. Coming live soon!

In the meantime, you can read my chat with him.
