Octopuses are incredible hunters. They use their camouflage to hide from prey, masking their color, brightness, and even their texture in a constantly changing tapestry.
So perhaps I shouldn’t have been surprised that a show about animal hunters wanted to learn a little more about them.
Earlier this year I met Remi Warren, host of Outdoor Channel’s Apex Predator at the Denver Aquarium to talk–and get up close and personal with–octopuses.
What are some of the secrets to their hunting success? And what can we humans learn from them for our own attempts at camouflage? Learn more from the November 19th episode, now available for streaming on their website. Or watch the trailer (after a brief ad about portable wild deer estrus squirt packs) here.
